This past weekend, I had the opportunity to work the Be Street Weekend Festival in downtown LA's Container Yard, with my good friends of VintagePop. It was two days of celebrating the arrival of the French publication Be Street to Los Angeles. The spirit of hip hop, street art, and underground fashion, which rests firmly within the magazine's core is a perfect fit for this city. Also on the welcoming committee, showcasing good threads were the teams from HlzBlz, Dimepiece, Rebel8, Primitive, and loads more. There were live art installations, from Luke Pelletier and Yuka Chocomoo and great sounds from 20+ djs and rappers. The hottest weekend of the summer ended with a bang.

It's been an interesting summer: I volunteered in Africa, I went to goth clubs in Spain, I went to more shows in NY than I can count & most importantly, I got grey hair. At long last, I feel truly in my element with these silver tresses. I'm notorious for being fickle about my hair with the same nonchalance of Ramona Flowers & her ever-changing kaleidoscope of locks, but I'm firmly satisfied with being grey up until I no longer have to anything elaborate to get the color because my hair will just do it naturally. I'm feeling one part super villain, one part super chic assassin. To debut this look on the blog, I chose to pair it with a thrifted Moschino top and vintage bodycon skirt--both gifts to me from two lovely friends--and a pair of Comme des Garcons x Converse hightops! I'm a little like the boys, a little bit ready to kick some butt!
